Who we are?

Pine Vale is a faith-based residential education program for children. We work with children and families that are struggling with the traumas of life. Our goal is to work toward healing the strain caused by trauma and to reconcile the family together. Residents live in a cottage with 5-7 other children, between the ages of 6-17. They are cared for by a set of full-time (live-in) house-parents. The residents of each cottage eat together, play together, shop together, and worship together. Residents attend the Kossuth schools. Every child participates in individual, group, and family counseling from a licensed counselor provided by PV. Our residents do fun things like take trips, they are involved in numerous church activities, and they are allowed to play organized sports. Pine Vale is a effort of the Church of Christ and her members to work together in order to heel, help, and give hope to children and families in need.
